Middle School at SIS

Middle school is a time of significant change, where students’ social, intellectual, and physical needs evolve, fostering individuality. The Middle school progaramme at SIS addresses these needs with a balanced learning program designed for 21st-century learners.

Using inquiry-based and concept-driven approaches, our middle school programme encourages students to explore real-world ideas, making learning meaningful. It aims to nurture lifelong learners who develop knowledge, skills, and a love for learning.

The The Middle School division at SIS encompasses Grades 6 through 8, accommodating students aged 11 to 13 years. Our pedagogical approach aligns with the meticulously crafted SIS Middle School Programme Design, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience.

Building upon the foundation laid in the Primary Years Programme (PYP), our Middle School curriculum is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in their high school journey at SIS and beyond. Emphasizing the cultivation of transferable competencies, our curriculum integrates elements from various esteemed standards, including the Common Core Standards (CCS), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and our institution’s own curriculum requisites.

High School at SIS

The High School at SIS offers a dynamic and comprehensive educational experience for students aged 14 to 18 years, encompassing Grades 9 through 12. Our high school program is designed to cultivate academic excellence, personal growth, and global citizenship, preparing students for success in higher education and beyond.

As we continue to strive towards excellence, our goal is to establish SIS as an IB World School, offering internationally recognized programs that empower students to become lifelong learners and active contributors to a global society. While we work towards this accreditation, we are proud to announce that SIS is on the cusp of authorization for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality education aligned with international standards.

In the interim, the high school at SIS implements a meticulously crafted curriculum that draws upon our institution’s rich educational philosophy and values.
